Here’s what you need to know:

Most standard Transitions® lenses are UV-sensitive, meaning they darken in response to UV rays. 

Since car windshields typically block UV rays, these lenses generally do not darken inside a vehicle.

However, our XTRActive Transitions® lenses, available on select frames, are specially designed to darken even inside cars, offering enhanced comfort for those frequently on the road or exposed to bright light.

For optimal performance, light-adaptive lenses work best outdoors or in environments where UV rays are not obstructed.
